Accompanied by one of our experienced guides, you will explore a spectacular wilderness area renowned for its abundant wildlife, dramatic landscapes, and exceptional opportunities to encounter elephant, rhino, lion, buffalo, and leopard in their natural environment. 

Kaingo Big Five Safari (optional - additional cost applies)

An optional Big Five safari in the beautiful Kaingo Reserve, where stunning landscapes and abundant wildlife create exceptional game-viewing opportunities. 

Leisure Days Activities (Spa, tennis, padle - additional cost applies)

Enjoy the freedom to create your own schedule. Relax at Leopard Lodge, accompany the hunting party as an observer, indulge in a spa treatment, enjoy the pool area, make use of the fitness, tennis, and padel facilities, visit the curio shop or perhaps go for a quiet walk in the area where you can find one of our hides and hopefully spot animals such as zebras and giraffes by a watering hole. 

Photo Safari

In the afternoon, enjoy a photo safari through the reserve, providing excellent opportunities to observe wildlife and capture spectacular images of the African landscape. 

Night Safari 

As darkness falls, Africa reveals a completely different world. Accompanied by one of our experienced guides, you will venture into the bush in search of the reserve's fascinating nocturnal wildlife. Spotlights may reveal elusive species rarely seen during daylight hours, creating a truly unique safari experience beneath the African stars. 

Guided Walking Trail

Experience the African bush from a completely different perspective during a guided walking trail. Accompanied by our guide, you will learn about animal tracks, plants, birdlife, and the intricate ecosystem that makes the Waterberg region so unique. 

Tribal Evening (optional - additional cost applies)

Guests may choose to participate in a traditional Tribal Evening, offering insight into local culture, customs, music, and dance. This memorable experience provides a fascinating glimpse into the Tswana tribes rich cultural heritage. 

Echoes of the Past Tour & Kaingo Big Five Safari (optional - additional cost applies)

One of Matswani's most popular excursions combines history, culture, conservation, and wildlife. The Echoes of the Past Tour explores fascinating archaeological and historical sites within the Waterberg region, offering insight into Southern Africa's ancient heritage, from early humans, to bushmen, herders, and Iron Age farmers. The day also includes a Big Five safari in Kaingo, providing yet another opportunity to encounter Africa's most iconic wildlife while enjoying some of the country's most breathtaking scenery. As a meaningful and exclusive insight into present-day South Africa, the excursion also includes a visit to The Fold – a well-run children’s home and school where children from difficult backgrounds grow up in safe, familyoriented surroundings.
